Walter del aguila

Attorney, member of the Lima Bar Association (CAL) and the New York City Bar Association (NYC Bar), with a solid track record in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Accredited arbitrator before national and international arbitral institutions; adjudicator accredited by the Callao Regional Council of the Peruvian Engineers Association; and extrajudicial conciliator accredited by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDH) of Peru. Graduate studies completed in the Master’s Program in International Economic Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). Specialization in commercial arbitration—both domestic and international—investment arbitration, public procurement, other ADR methods, and Dispute Boards.

Membership in renowned international organizations, including the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS), the Association of Ibero-American Jurists (ASJURIB), and the International Association of Lawyers (UIA). Service as President of the Arbitration Committee of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States (CAMACOL); President of the Peruvian Society of International Economic Law (SPDIE); General Manager and Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Lima International Arbitration Center; and founding partner of Del Águila – Abogados S.A.C.

Academic teaching experience at Peruvian universities. Between 2009 and 2011, service as Consultant-Lecturer for the “Leadership for Transformation” Program of the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), in strategic partnership with the Institute of Government of the University of San Martín de Porres (USMP), contributing to the training of leaders across various regions of Peru.

Recipient of honorary distinctions in recognition of a professional career, including designation as an “Illustrious Visitor” by the Huancavelica Bar Association (ICAH) and award of the decoration in the rank of “Grand Cross” by the District Municipality of Végueta, Huaura, Lima, Peru. Also recognized as an “Honorary Member” of the Peruvian Academy of Military History (APHM).
