NEUTRALS & EXPERTS

Institutional appointment services for complex commercial disputes.

Miami International Arbitration Center supports the appointment of arbitrators, experts, adjudicators and other neutrals where agreed by the parties, provided by institutional instruments or requested under applicable procedures.

A curated institutional approach

MIAC-CAMACOL maintains and develops institutional rosters of arbitrators, experts and other neutrals in accordance with its rules, standards and case needs. Parties may contact the Secretariat for appointment services or institutional guidance.

The institution does not present a public marketplace of neutrals at this stage. Inclusion in any roster, list or institutional database does not guarantee appointment, recommendation or availability.

Institutional, not marketplace-driven

Appointment support is handled through institutional review and case needs. This page intentionally does not publish a public arbitrator marketplace or searchable roster.

Appointment Services

Where agreed by the parties, provided by institutional instruments or requested under an applicable procedure, Miami International Arbitration Center may assist with the appointment of arbitrators, experts, adjudicators or other neutrals.

Arbitrators

Appointment or confirmation support for arbitral tribunals under the applicable rules.

Experts

Identification or appointment of technical, financial, industry or legal experts where appropriate.

Adjudicators & Dispute Boards

Support for dispute boards, adjudication and related neutral services where applicable.

Other Neutrals

Standards

Appointments and institutional roster decisions should reflect professional competence, independence, impartiality, availability and the ability to manage complex commercial disputes.

Independence

Neutrals must remain free from relationships or interests that may compromise independent judgment.

Impartiality

Neutral decision-making requires absence of bias, predisposition or preferential treatment.

Disclosure

Relevant circumstances should be disclosed in accordance with applicable rules and institutional standards.

Availability

Appointments require the ability to dedicate appropriate time and attention to the matter.

Professional Competence

Experience, legal or technical expertise, language ability and subject-matter familiarity may be considered.

Confidentiality

Neutrals and participants must protect confidential information, deliberations and case materials.

Roster Policy

MIAC-CAMACOL may maintain institutional rosters, databases or lists of arbitrators, experts and other neutrals for internal case administration, appointment services and institutional development.

Publication of a name, inclusion in a roster or participation in an institutional activity does not constitute a guarantee of appointment, endorsement for a particular case or entitlement to future designation.

Expression of Interest

Professionals interested in being considered for future institutional rosters, expert databases or neutral services may submit an expression of interest for institutional review.

Submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee inclusion in any roster, publication, appointment or recommendation. Online submission and document upload may be activated in a later phase.
